The role of an AWS Cloud Engineer at Sutherland involves designing, deploying, and maintaining AWS cloud infrastructure. The engineer will manage AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, Lambda, CloudWatch, and Route 53. They will also implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or CloudFormation, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments, monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize cloud resources. The engineer will ensure cloud security through IAM policies, encryption, security groups, and compliance best practices. They will perform cloud migration from on-premises environments to AWS, automate operational tasks using scripting languages, optimize AWS costs and resource utilization, and collaborate with development, security, and operations teams. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with SonarQube, GitHub actions, SAST, DAST, secrets management, Python, and Lambda.
