The Junior Security Analyst role sits within Solenis’ Security Operations Centre (SOC) and is designed for fresh graduates eager to launch a career in cybersecurity. The analyst will monitor security event logs, investigate incidents, and support the remediation of threats across the enterprise. Working in a hybrid model (three days in‑office), the candidate will gain hands‑on exposure to industry‑leading tools such as SIEM, EDR, DLP and vulnerability management platforms while collaborating with senior analysts and incident response teams. Key responsibilities include: 1. Continuous monitoring of security event logs from servers, endpoints, network devices and cloud services. 2. Performing initial triage of alerts, distinguishing true threats from false positives. 3. Assisting in forensic investigations of malware infections, data breaches and MITRE ATT&CK‑based attacks. 4. Operating L1 SOC tools – SIEM, EDR, DLP, email security gateways and vulnerability scanners. 5. Conducting basic threat‑intel research and updating IOC block/allow lists. 6. Analyzing phishing emails, identifying malicious payloads and recommending mitigation steps. 7. Generating incident reports, playbooks and updating standard operating procedures. 8. Participating in regular vulnerability assessment reviews and recommending remediation priorities. 9. Supporting the development and testing of security automation scripts and AI‑driven SOC enhancements. 10. Contributing to security awareness programmes and promoting a security‑first mindset across the organisation. The tech stack revolves around SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar), endpoint detection and response tools (CrowdStrike, SentinelOne), network traffic analysis, Python scripting for automation, and familiarity with Linux/Windows operating systems.
