📋 About the Role
Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) is one of India’s largest conglomerates, with business interests spanning energy, petrochemicals, retail, telecommunications and digital services. Over the past decade, RIL has aggressively expanded its telecom arm, Jio, building a robust nationwide network that powers millions of customers. The company’s commitment to innovation, sustainability and large‑scale infrastructure development makes it an attractive destination for fresh engineering talent looking to work on high‑impact projects. The Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) – OSP Construction role is designed for recent B.E./B.Tech graduates who want to dive straight into the world of telecom infrastructure. As a GET, you will be part of the Outside Plant (OSP) construction team, supporting end‑to‑end project execution across multiple sites in India. You will get hands‑on exposure to site surveys, planning, contractor coordination, quality and safety compliance, and project reporting. The position offers cross‑functional interaction with Construction, Planning, PMO and Engineering units, providing a holistic view of how large telecom projects are delivered. **Key Responsibilities** 1. Conduct site surveys and assist in preparing layout drawings and BOQs for OSP projects. 2. Participate in project planning, scheduling and execution tracking using tools like MS Project or Primavera. 3. Coordinate with contractors, vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure timely material delivery and work execution. 4. Monitor daily progress, update MIS dashboards and generate status reports for senior management. 5. Ensure adherence to quality standards, safety protocols and regulatory requirements on site. 6. Identify risks and issues early, propose mitigation measures and track resolution. 7. Maintain accurate project documentation, including as‑built drawings, change orders and compliance certificates. 8. Support the preparation of project close‑out reports and handover documentation. 9. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting process optimizations. 10. Participate in training sessions and workshops to build technical and soft‑skill capabilities. **Tech Stack & Tools**: AutoCAD/Civil 3D for drawings, MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) for reporting, project management software (MS Project, Primavera), GIS tools for site mapping, and basic familiarity with telecom equipment specifications. **Growth Path**: Successful GETs can progress to Engineer – OSP Construction, then Senior Engineer, Project Lead, and eventually Project Manager or Operations Manager within RIL’s telecom infrastructure division. The role also opens doors to other engineering domains such as network planning, asset management and digital transformation. **Why Join**: Working with RIL provides exposure to one of the most ambitious telecom roll‑outs in the world, a culture that encourages learning, and a clear career ladder. Freshers get mentorship from seasoned professionals, access to state‑of‑the‑art tools, and the chance to make a tangible impact on India’s digital backbone.
