The Junior Data Analyst role is a permanent position based in Mumbai and will become an integral part of the Data Operations team. The analyst will support the delivery of high‑quality data and research for the assigned market, working across four pillars – Core (Individual), Core (Company), Compensation and Pay. The role is ideal for fresh graduates with a strong analytical mindset, attention to detail and a passion for corporate governance data. Key Responsibilities: 1. Search for, collect and verify company‑level data of basic to intermediate complexity using approved methodologies and sources. 2. Respond to internal and client queries, ensuring data aligns with methodology and policy guidelines. 3. Follow established work‑process standards to maintain data quality. 4. Meet predefined turnaround times for data collection assignments. 5. Escalate any data interpretation issues to senior analysts or team leads. 6. Conduct root‑cause analysis when data discrepancies are identified. 7. Update internal performance‑metric documents and dashboards. 8. Participate in cross‑functional committees, projects and ad‑hoc tasks beyond core duties. 9. Maintain paper and electronic filing systems in compliance with ISS and client retention policies. 10. Continuously improve knowledge of governance data domains and stay updated on industry best practices. Tech Stack & Tools: MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), data‑validation tools, internal ISS data management platforms, basic SQL for data extraction, and collaboration tools like SharePoint and Teams. Growth Path: Starting as a Junior Analyst, high performers can progress to Data Analyst, Senior Analyst, and eventually to Team Lead or Manager within the Data Operations vertical.
