The Payroll Operations Associate role is positioned within Accenture’s Finance & Accounting practice, specifically in the Payroll Operations team. The associate will act as a data analyst who bridges the gap between raw payroll data and actionable business insights. By leveraging Microsoft Power Platform tools, the candidate will design interactive dashboards, automate repetitive reporting tasks, and ensure data integrity across payroll processes. This role offers exposure to end‑to‑end payroll workflows, cross‑functional stakeholder interaction, and the chance to work on emerging Agentic AI solutions that enhance automation. Key Responsibilities: 1. Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and data models that provide real‑time payroll insights to business leaders. 2. Create advanced Excel solutions using VLOOKUP, INDEX‑MATCH, pivot tables, and basic VBA/macros for ad‑hoc analysis. 3. Build and manage automated workflows in Power Automate to streamline report generation and payroll approvals. 4. Use Power Query for ETL tasks – extracting data from multiple sources, cleaning, transforming, and loading it into analytical models. 5. Conduct data validation, governance checks, and ensure compliance with security and confidentiality standards. 6. Collaborate with HR, Finance, and IT stakeholders to gather requirements, deliver data summaries, and support decision‑making. 7. Identify trends, gaps, and improvement opportunities within payroll processes and propose data‑driven solutions. 8. Document processes, create user guides, and provide training to business users on Power Platform tools. 9. Participate in the development and testing of Agentic AI agents that automate routine payroll tasks. 10. Stay updated with the latest features of Power BI, Power Automate, and emerging AI tools to continuously improve reporting efficiency.
