As an Egocentric Data Collection Operator, you will wear Meta Quest 3 VR headsets to capture first‑person video footage of real‑world activities in environments such as retail stores, warehouses, hotels, workshops and laboratories. The video data you collect will feed directly into advanced AI and computer‑vision models, helping to train systems that understand human motion, hand‑object interactions, and multi‑step task workflows. This is a highly hands‑on role that blends physical agility with technical curiosity, requiring you to follow strict quality guidelines while maintaining a safe and comfortable working pace. Key responsibilities include: 1. Performing realistic, structured, multi‑step physical tasks while wearing a Meta Quest 3 headset to ensure clear first‑person video capture. 2. Executing a wide variety of hand‑object interactions such as picking, placing, reaching, bending, turning, carrying, packing, sorting, scanning and trolley transport. 3. Operating across diverse real‑world scenes – retail shelving, hotel rooms, warehouse packing benches, assembly stations and laboratory setups – to capture varied contextual data. 4. Maintaining strict adherence to lighting, camera exposure, and framing guidelines to guarantee high‑quality footage. 5. Monitoring headset comfort and managing motion‑sickness risks during multi‑hour collection shifts. 6. Recording metadata and task completion logs in the associated mobile application. 7. Collaborating with the data quality team to review and flag any sub‑optimal recordings. 8. Ensuring safety protocols are followed while moving, lifting moderate weights and navigating confined spaces. 9. Reporting daily progress and any equipment issues to the field operations supervisor. 10.
