Your Impact As a Software Engineer at Cisco, you will develop software consistent with Cisco 'Design Thinking Principles' with a focus on simplification using secure coding practices, ensuring user privacy, and following software development best practices. You will build applications that make technology accessible to people on a variety of devices. Imagine, design, and create solutions to transform how we work, live, learn and play. Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for enhancements and new products. Develop software and tools in support of design, infrastructure and technology platforms, including operating systems, compilers, routers, networks, utilities, databases and Internet-related tools. Contributes to solution of straightforward business problems regarding operations, products, services or customers. Analyzes information, asks questions and checks for understanding using standard procedures within the job family. Establishes relationships and collaborates effectively with own team. Collaborates with others on projects and works on small-to-medium features from technical design through completion. Applies understanding of the software development lifecycle and how various agile engineering practices can be used in own projects (e.g., requirements analysis, design, coding, unit testing, acceptance testing). Participates in delivery of technical design features with guidance. May apply understanding of how related features in a product solves one or more customer needs.
