The incumbent will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining robust backend data pipelines that feed analytical datasets used across large‑scale business operations. This position blends deep technical expertise in SQL and ETL with strong analytical acumen to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions. Working closely with cross‑functional stakeholders, the analyst will ensure data quality, governance, and timely delivery of insights through dashboards and visualisations. Key Responsibilities: 1. Design, develop, and maintain SQL‑based data pipelines for ETL workflows in Google BigQuery or similar environments. 2. Write complex queries using CTEs, window functions, and performance‑tuning techniques to extract and transform data. 3. Create and optimise PLX scripts for automated backend processing. 4. Analyse large, structured datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights. 5. Translate analytical requirements into well‑structured data models and datasets. 6. Build, maintain, and enhance PLX dashboards and Looker Studio reports for business users. 7. Collaborate with product, engineering, and business teams to understand data needs and deliver scalable solutions. 8. Ensure data governance, documentation, and adherence to security standards. 9. Participate in code reviews, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives. 10. Mentor junior analysts on best practices in SQL, ETL, and visualisation. Tech Stack: Advanced SQL (Google SQL/BigQuery), PLX scripting, ETL tools, Looker Studio, Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides), Google Apps Script, Python/JavaScript/VBA for automation, data modelling concepts.
