With a legacy spanning over seven decades, the company designs, manufactures, and sells a wide range of vehicles – from passenger cars and trucks to buses and electric vehicles. Its R&D hubs in India, the UK, the US, Italy and South Korea drive cutting‑edge innovations, making Tata Motors a leader in sustainable mobility and smart automotive solutions. The firm’s commitment to ‘Connecting Aspirations’ reflects its focus on delivering value to customers while fostering a culture of engineering excellence and social responsibility. The Graduate Apprentice Trainee program is a structured, paid apprenticeship aimed at fresh engineering graduates from the 2024‑2026 batches. The role offers a monthly stipend of INR 25,000 and exposure across multiple business units such as Production, Maintenance, Supply Chain Management, Quality, and Manufacturing Planning. Apprentices rotate through hands‑on projects, gaining real‑world experience that bridges academic knowledge with industry practice. The program is designed to develop technical competence, problem‑solving abilities, and a holistic understanding of automotive operations. Key Responsibilities: 1. Assist in production line supervision and monitor daily output. 2. Support maintenance teams in preventive and corrective maintenance activities. 3. Participate in supply chain processes, including part procurement and inventory management. 4. Contribute to quality assurance tasks, conducting inspections and root‑cause analysis. 5. Help in manufacturing planning by preparing schedules and tracking progress. 6. Engage in cross‑functional projects to understand end‑to‑end vehicle development. 7. Apply problem‑solving methodologies (e.g., 5‑Why, Fishbone) to resolve operational issues. 8. Document learnings and prepare reports for senior engineers. 9. Attend training sessions on emerging automotive technologies and industry standards. 10. Provide suggestions for process improvements based on observations. Tech Stack & Tools: Basic knowledge of CAD/CAM, MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint), ERP systems (SAP), and familiarity with PLCs and IoT concepts is advantageous. Continuous learning opportunities, mentorship, and internal mobility across Tata’s global network further accelerate career progression. Why Join Tata Motors? As an apprentice, you become part of a legacy brand that values innovation, sustainability, and employee development. The stipend, subsidized canteen, transport, and insurance benefits provide a supportive environment, while the hands‑on experience equips you with industry‑ready skills that are highly sought after in the automotive sector.
